The focus of this site is to provide tools and strategies that meet these three Math/Science Partnership Objectives
- Language: Expand teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge to include
research-based instructional practices recommended for English Language
- PLC: Establish a sustainable professional learning community (PLC) that
is characterized by active cross-curricula collaboration within building
site teams, between districts and among the higher education partners
resulting in outcomes that exceed that which the individual partners can
- Assessment: Provide opportunities for teachers to participate and practice
instructional modeling that is consistent with best practices that
incorporate the formative assessment process.
Each tool or strategy focuses on language use (Language
) across the curriculum and possible communities (PLC
) in ways that allow assessment (Assessment
) in meaningful ways to promote student engagement with learning math and science.
